Primary day! Lizards Thicket and surprise guest Marjorie Taylor Greene

 It's primary day in South Carolina and also our last day before driving back to school!

For breakfast this morning we went to the legendary Lizard's Thicket for a Fox and Friends filming by Ainsley Earhardt with special guest Lindsey Graham. Unfortunately we missed Senator Graham, but we still got to see Ainsley interviewing primary voters on election day which was super exciting. Sean Hannity even stopped by.

At Lizard's Thicket we ran into Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis who was kind enough to talk to our class and answer the plethora of questions we hard regarding his position. Jimmy even FaceTimed his friend Jim Cantore so we could talk to him!

After breakfast we explored the Columbia Saturday Morning Market and once again ran into Jimmy with South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis!

After checking out the market we decided to go see voters at primary day voting locations and to our surprise I went to go see who was sign waving and it just so happened to be Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. 

 

We then reported to the South Carolina Democratic Party for the last time for the primary night watch party. The Lexington County Democrats stopped by to drop off snacks for our drive home and to thank us for our hard work this week making calls and writing postcards for them!
