Candidate Presentations: Vivek Ramaswamy

 

For the first part of our class, we researched and presented information on the candidates running in the primaries. 

Vivek Ganapathy Ramaswamy was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated from Harvard with a
degree in Biology and later went to Yale Law School. After college he started a biotech company and an asset management firm. He currently lived in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Apoorva and their two sons. 

His policy initiatives were 'America First 2.0' which focused on 'Reviving American National Identity, Unleashing the American Economy, Declaring Independence from Communist China, Dismantling Managerial Bureaucracy and Ending Weaponization of Government & Financial Markets.'

Ramaswamy campaigned on economic policy since he is a successful businessman himself. His strategy was to advertise a cultural movement that is anti-social movement, anti-regulation, anti-environmental policy and most importantly pro-business. Most importantly he emphasized TRUTH. 

Ramaswamy has since dropped out of the race since placing 4th in the Iowa caucus and endorsed former president Donald Trump.
